- Only abstracts submitted via the online submission portal can be considered
- Language: English
- Title: Please use upper and lower cases, short and precise (max. 20 words)
- Abstract text: substantial and concise, maximum allowed words: 250
- One figure only can be placed below references
- Maximum number of abstracts per corresponding author: 2 abstracts
- The abstract body must be structured as follows (no headings):

- Chemical structures: no Wikipedia or other webpage copies are accepted; structures should be drawn with standard programs such as Chemdraw.

When you submit your abstract you will be asked to indicate whether you would be willing to present the abstract a) as poster only or b) as poster or oral presentation if selected.

Step 1 – Abstract Title and presentation type: You enter the title of your abstract here, please use upper and lower case, do not put a full stop at the end. Maximum allowed length is approximately 20 words. Please also indicate whether you want to submit your abstract as poster only or poster or oral presentation.
Step 2 – Topic: Please choose one of the given topics.
Step 3 – Authors and Affiliations: The corresponding author is automatically in the system as the first and presenting author. You may change this information if necessary and then add additional affiliations and co‐authors by clicking on the corresponding buttons. (This information is important for any author/abstract list and content information).
Step 4 – Abstract Upload: Here you are asked to upload your abstract text as a word file. Do not submit any other formats, just Word for Windows (doc/docx) in order to ensure that all data is submitted and transferred correctly. Maximum allowed abstract text words: 250. One figure only can be placed below references (regarding quality refer to Planta Medica instructions at https://www.thieme.de/de/planta-medica/authors-5605.htm)

Step 5 – Review: Please check again whether all details are correct. Any sections that are still required to be completed for submission are marked in red.
Step 6 – Submit your abstract: This will only be possible if all previous steps have been completed. Please note: Once your abstract has been submitted no more changes are possible since it is directly forwarded to the reviewers.
General Information:
- The extended deadline for abstract submission is May 26, 2019.
- The conference organizers will notify the author with their decision about whether or not the abstract is accepted End of June 2019 (Letter of acceptance).
- The corresponding author will also receive an automated email confirming the abstract submission was successful and the abstract has been forwarded to the reviewers.
- Please note that all scientific contributions (posters and orals) are subjected to an extensive review process. All accepted abstracts will be printed in the conference abstract book as well as published later in a special conference issue of PLANTA MEDICA (please note: if an abstract is not presented at the conference due to absence of the presenting author, the abstract will not be published in PLANTA MEDICA)
